インタネットというと、TCP/IP, RFCに代表されるかもしれない。

インタネットが、IEEE 802 で物理層、データリンク層(MAC副層、LLC副層)がきちんとしていたから、その上がだいたいで良かったかもしれない。MAC Addressを製造組織ごとに登録し、相互接続の確認に役立っている。

Mac Addressの汎用性をソフトウェアで実現する方法にSoftEtherがある。

IEEE 802 では、get IEEE get program(™), get 802 ® standard

IEEEにID, password, E-mail addressを登録すると、個人利用標準がPDFで入手可能である。

最新の規格以外は、検索でうまく出て来なかったりする。
