今日のapt error: Unable to locate package vim

aptは、Advanced Packaging Toolで、
Debian/Linuxのアプリケーション等を導入管理する道具です。

当初は、apt-getという命令で導入していました。
現在は、aptだけで結構です。古い資料で、
apt-getとなっているところは、aptとするだけでいいはずです。
まあ、apt-getでも動く場合がほとんどなので問題ないはずです。

今日のdocker warning: No package 'libunwind-generic' found

でpushしたdocker hubからrunした状態で起きたエラー。

macOS

$ docker run -it kaizenjapan/http3 /bin/bash

dockerが立ち上がったら。

docker

# apt install vim apt-utils
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree       
Reading state information... Done
Package apt-utils is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source
However the following packages replace it:
  apt

E: Unable to locate package vim
E: Package 'apt-utils' has no installation candidate

apt updateしていないのでしてみた。

docker

# apt update; apt -y upgrade

# apt install vim apt-utils

なんと。動いた。別の場合は、apt updateしたらという警告がでたこともあったような気がする。今回はでてない。
