奉仕(service)は、いろいろな特性で定義できる。
サービスの特性は不均一性ではない。
サービスを均一に提供することはできる。
受け手の側が、均一のものを、受け止められないだけかもしれない。
かってに不均一だというのは失礼極まりないかもしれない。
製品の方が、はるかに不均一だ。
製品は、連続性がない。そのため、あるときはいっぱいあっても、あるときは少ししかない。
とてもとても不均一だ。
奉仕は、水道のように、均一でかつ連続的に提供できる。
渇水など、一時的に不均一になる事態が存在しないわけではない。
しかし、不均一が本質ではない。

無形性(intangibility)
製品ではないので形はない。
tangibleというのは、触ることができると言う意味がある。
形がないからと言って、触ることができないとは限らない。
#消滅性(perishability)
同時性。生産と消費の同時性。
在庫ができないという消滅性と、同時性は同一事象の異なる側面の記述である。
連続性(continuality)
時間的変動は、時間性とも言うことができる。離散時間ではなく、連続時間で提供するのがサービス。24時間営業が連続性の一つの特徴的な形態。
ある量がいつでも同じように提供できるとは限らない。離散的な１つ、２つという提供の方法よりも連続量で近似した方がわかりやすい。
