はじめに
VIOSを用いてAIXを新規導入した際の作業メモです。
実施環境
- VIOS
- LPAR名: s922vios21
- OS: VIOS4.1.1.00
- OS導入LPAR
- LPAR名: s922201
- ID: 7
- 導入OS: AIX 7.3 TL3 SP0
- NFSサーバー
- IPアドレス: 192.168.64.11
- OS: AIX 7.3 TL3 SP0
- OSイメージ(iso): /export/AIX_v7.3_Install_7300-03-00-2446_flash_122024_LCD8265306.iso
実施内容
①VIOSでOSイメージを利用するためにNFSをマウント
②OSイメージから仮想メディア・リポジトリー上に仮想光メディアを作成
③仮想光デバイスを作成し、仮想光メディアをロード
④仮想光デバイスからOSを導入
①VIOSでOSイメージを利用するためにNFSをマウント
今回はNFSサーバーの"/export"にAIXのOSイメージ(AIX_v7.3_Install_7300-03-00-2446_flash_122024_LCD8265306.iso)を配置しました。
VIOS(s922vios21)上でOSイメージを利用するために"s922211:/export"にs922vios21の"/mnt"をマウントしました。

VIOSからOSイメージが参照できることも確認できました。

②OSイメージから仮想メディア・リポジトリー上に仮想光メディアを作成
仮想光メディアを配置するための仮想メディア・リポジトリーを作成しました。
仮想メディア・リポジトリーはrootvgに20GBで作成しました。

③仮想光デバイスを作成し、仮想光メディアをロード
OS導入対象のLPAR(s922201)には、vSCSI経由で30GBの仮想ディスクを割り当てました。
s922201の仮想ディスクが、どのvhostにマッピングされているかを確認しました。
