Ethernet及びIEEE 802.11関連の国際規格。無線網(Wi-Fi)空中線(antenna)(116) Ethernet(83)

製造業、自動車、医療などでEthernetの利用が広がっている。
国際規格にどの程度Ethernetについて規定しているか調べ中。
()書きは廃止規格。最新版がある場合には、下に記載。
審議中の規格は、NP, CD, DISなどの記述が規格番号の前後にある。

Ethernetは、元々 IEEEで審議して発行している。
IEEEから提案のあった文書は、発行もIEEEも共同で行っている場合がある。

ISOとIECは、ISO/IEC JTC1で共同で発行している。ISO/IEC JTC1担当の文書はISO/IECで発行している。

背景(back ground)

WTO/TBT協定

TCP/IPが、ISO OSIの体系よりも普及したことの背景には、IEEE Ethernet規格と、MACアドレス登録制度があると感じている。

TCP/IPの一部も国際規格になっているのと同様、IEEE Ethernet, IEEE 802.11も国際規格になっている。

WTO/TBT協定により、ISO, IEC, ITUなどの国際規格団体の発行する規格を出発点として、その規格との違いを表現することが大事。ISO, IEC, ITUから発行するのも一つの手。

IEEEは、ISO/IEC JTC1 にA liaisonとして規格提案をしている。他のTCに対しても、通信に関して積極的に提案しているかどうかを確認中。

CD(衝突検知)

スイッチングハブでは信号の衝突が起きない。CSMA/CDのCD(衝突検知)部分は必ずしも現在は必要がないかも。
