これまでも、IBM Cloud 認定資格と、その学習方法についてお伝えしてきました。

そんな中、一部の IBM Cloud トレーニングが 2024/11 より 有償化されるという情報が入ってきました。
また、Cloud - IBM Training のサイトに、IBM Cloud Prep も利用期間が 2024/12/04 までと表示されていることを、教えてもらいました。
一部の IBM Cloud トレーニングが 2024/11 より 有償化
現在、Cloud - IBM Trainingで提供しているトレーニングは無料なのですが、下記のコースを 2024/11 から有料化するそうです。
- IBM Cloud for VMware Solutions
- IBM Cloud for SAP
- IBM Cloud for Financial Services
- IBM Power Virtual Server
IBM Cloud 認定には、役割型と製品特化型があるのですが、その製品特化型のコースのうち 4 つを有料化するようです。
実際に「SAP on IBM Cloud Specialty Curriculum」を開始してみたところ、下記が表示されました。
なお、有料化後の金額は 10 月中に Cloud - IBM Training に表示されるそうです。
対策 1: 2024/10 までにトレーニングを終了させる
有料化のされる前にトレーニングを終了させれば、影響は受けません。通知のメールでも、これを推奨していました。
対策2: 2024/12/04 までに IBM Cloud Prep で学習する
正規の Learning Path ではありませんが、認定試験対策として Learning Path の内容のダイジェスト版の IBM Cloud Prep が用意されています。
レクチャー資料の Study Guide だけでなく、Flashcards や Quizzes といったマテリアルも用意されています。
有料化されるトレーニングに対応したコースはこちらです。
- IBM Cloud for VMware Solutions Specialty
- IBM Cloud for SAP Specialty
- IBM Cloud for Financial Services Specialty
- IBM Power Virtual Server Specialty
ただ、正規の Learning Path では取得できる IBM Badge は入手できません。
また、下記に記載したように 2024/12/04 までの利用期間のようです。
対策 3: 2024/11 以降に有料でトレーニングを受講する
もちろん、有料後も正規の Learning Path を受講することもできます。

IBM Cloud Prep が 2024/12/04 で終了
Cloud - IBM Training のサイトに、IBM Cloud Prep の利用期間が 2024/12/04 までと表示されていることを、教えてもらいました。
気になるコースがあれば、Study Guide を期日までにダウンロードしておくことをお勧めします。
