Railsをインストールしたはずがrails -vでエラーが発生する時の対処方（初心者向け）

railsのインストールをブログの記事通り進めてきたが

$ rails -v

で以下のようなエラーが発生しました。

$ rails -v

Rails is not currently installed on this system. To get the latest version, simply type:

    $ sudo gem install rails

You can then rerun your "rails" command.

いろいろな記事を読んで解決しようとしましたがうまくいかず、ターミナルを再起動して再度バージョン確認。

rails -v
Rails 6.1.0

インストールされてやがる！！

初心者でrails -vでエラーになった時はターミナルを再起動せよ！！
