どう考えてもちゃんと書いてるのになぜか反映されず、キャッシュクリアしても chrome の検証にもそもそも出てこないってときは、一番基本に立ち返ってよーくコードを見ます。
タイプミスもしくは余計な文字が入っていることでしょう（}が一個多いとか）。
