The Next Big SaaS Product Could Be Built by One Person

The idea of a solo founder building a serious software business isn't new, but AI is making the early stages more accessible. A single person can now use tools like Greta to experiment with product interfaces, workflows, MVPs, and other pieces of a digital business without personally implementing every line of code. That doesn't mean one person can effortlessly replace an entire engineering organization. Production software involves infrastructure, security, support, maintenance, and countless details. But the threshold for creating the first version is falling. This matters because many products don't need a huge team to prove whether the idea has potential. A founder can build something small, get it in front of users, and decide what deserves further investment. The AI doesn't replace the founder's responsibilities. It simply gives the founder another way to execute. If this trend continues, we may see more businesses starting with extremely small teams and expanding only after the product demonstrates demand. Greta is part of a broader shift toward making the earliest stages of software entrepreneurship more accessible.
