UDEV Gothicは、視認性が高くプログラミングに適した日本語フォントです。
Rictyフォントの派生であり、文字の区別がつきやすいように工夫されています。
UDEV Gothicは.ttfを生成するためにビルドが必要です。
ここでは、その方法について解説していきます。
前提条件
ローカルにPython3の環境があること。
1. リポジトリをローカルに落としてくる
git cloneしたり、zipで落としてきたりしましょう。

2. Fontforgeのインストール
公式サイト からWindows用のインストーラをダウンロードして実行、インストールする。
3. fontforge_script.pyの実行
インストールが終了したら、スタートメニューからFontForge interactive consoleと検索し、起動する。
そうするとffpythonにパスが通ったコマンドプロンプトが立ち上がる。
1で落としてきたリポジトリのディレクトリのパスにcdコマンドで移動。
以下を実行する。
オプションはお好きなように。
ffpython.exe .\fontforge_script.py --jpdoc --nerd-font --liga
以下のように表示されれば成功。

4. ttfautohint-pyとfonttoolsをインストール
普通のターミナルを開く。
1で落としてきたリポジトリのディレクトリのパスにcdコマンドで移動しておく。
以下を実行。
pip install fonttools
pip install ttfautohint-py
5. fonttools_script.pyの実行
上記のターミナルで以下を実行。ここでオプションは不要。
python .\fonttools_script.py
6. 生成された.ttfをインストール
1で落としてきたリポジトリのディレクトリ内にbuildディレクトリが生成されている。
その中の4つの.ttfをコンピュータにインストールすれば完了。
全選択して右クリック→インストールでも良いし、一つ一つインストールしてもよい。
7. おまけ：VSCodeでの指定名
UDEV Gothic JPDOCNFLGという名前で指定する。
