Visual Studio Code が "Extension host terminated unexpectedly."といって操作できなくなることへの対処

VSCodeで操作ができなくなる・・

VSCodeで作業中に"Extension host terminated unexpectedly."と出て操作ができなくなる

発生するトリガーがよくわかりませんがSource Controlで変更ファイルを見るときによく起こりました。
発生すると、Source Controlの他のファイルが開けなくなり、まもなく上記メッセージが出ます。。

Live Share Chatをはずす

VSCodeのExtensionsのLive Share ChatをDisableしたら、上記の現象がとりあえず出なくなりました。

現象が起きた環境

Visual Studio Code: 1.38.1
Live Share Chat: 0.22.1
