Nordic系のマイコンで割り込みハンドラを追加する方法

UARTE1の割り込みを発生させるとハードフォールトになってしまう

割り込みなしで送受信を動作させる分には全く問題なかったのですが、割り込み有りに設定させ動作させると
ハードフォールト(HardFault)が発生してしまう現象が発生しました。
UARTE0は何も問題なく動くのに...

んんん?
UARTE1_IRQHandlerが正しくリンクされていないですよね?
これで一先ずハードフォールトが起こってしまう理由は分かりました。
ではなぜそうなってしまうのか。

マイコンヘッダーを見てみる

nRF52840.hというヘッダーファイルがあり、そこに割り込み番号が定義されています。
ここには、Cortex-M4に関する割り込み番号と、それをベースにNordicが設計した周辺ペリフェラルの割り込み番号が定義されています。

UARTE0_UART0_IRQnとUARTE1_IRQnがちゃんといますね。
(UARTE0_UART0_IRQnは「UART0」と「UARTE0」が共用なんですね)

ここで生まれた疑問

UART割り込みハンドラの名前が「UARTE0_UART0_IRQHandler」、といった感じになっているのは、
SDKのコードを追っていくことで分かったのですが、
そのメソッドに飛ぶという設定はどこでされているんだろう?という疑問が生まれました。
そして、その観点で調べてみると、とあるアセンブラファイルに行き着きました。

割り込み番号順に、マイコンが割り込みをフェッチした際に飛んでいくメソッドを設定しているのでしょうか?
「UARTE0_UART0_IRQHandler」はあるのですが、「UARTE1_IRQHandler」がありませんね...
nRF52840.hに定義されてある割り込み番号を参考に、「UARTE1_IRQHandler」を追加しコンパイルしてみることにしました。

「UARTE1_IRQHandler」がちゃんとリンクされており、UARTE1の割り込みハンドラがコールされる事が確認できました!!!
てか、なんで最初から設定されてないねん!!!
Nordic系の開発を行っている方で、同じような事象が発生している方はこんな観点で調べてみると同じ原因だったりするかもしれませんね...
