Unity、配置したPrefabがmesh Colliderをつけても落下してしまう場合

Unity asset storeで入手したオブジェクトを空間に配置すると、Mesh colliderをつけているのに無限落下してしまう状況にちょっとハマったのでメモ。

状況

以下の対応をしてもオブジェクトが落下してしまう

  • mesh colliderを設定
  • mesh colliderのConvexをオン

要因

mesh colliderの「Mesh」が未設定(複数のゲームオブジェクトでなりたっている場合、親ゲームオブジェクトのmeshが自動では入らない)

対策

meshに適当なmeshを設定(完璧なmeshがない場合、子要素のどれかを設定)
