https で git push するときのパスワードをGNOMEのキーリングに保存する

環境

  • Ubuntu 16.04 64bit
  • Gitがインストール済み

どうするか

  • GNOMEとGitを接続する認証ヘルパーを設定する

やったこと

  • ヘルパーをコンパイルする(それに必要なライブラリもインストール)
$ sudo apt-get install libgnome-keyring-dev 
$ cd /usr/share/doc/git/contrib/credential/gnome-keyring
$ sudo make
  • Gitにヘルパーを設定
$ git config --global credential.helper /usr/share/doc/git/contrib/credential/gnome-keyring/git-credential-gnome-keyring

結果

設定後、2回目以降のPushはパスワードを尋ねられなくなった。成功。
