MUD(Multi-User Dungeon)とは

ターミナルからtelnet接続してテキストベースで遊ぶMMOです。
テキストベースのため英語の勉強にめちゃくちゃ役立ちます。
さあMUDで英語の勉強をしましょう。

MUDの初め方

telnetをインストール

$brew install telnet

MUDサーバーを選ぶ

1. http://www.mudconnect.com/ にアクセス
2. 同サイトのTOPページの下部にスクロールしてMud Connector Top 10 Mud Rankingsを表示する。
3. Top10の中から試してみたいMUDサーバーを選ぶ
4. サーバ情報のMud Addressをメモに控える。

試しにランキング１位のAardwolfを選んでみた場合

開始方法

1. What be thy name, adventurer?とキャラ名を聞かれるので設定する
2. パスワードを設定するように言われるので設定する
3. ゲームが開始される
4. あとはひたすら英語と格闘しよう！ GoodLuck!
5. 再ログインの場合は、キャラ名とパスワードが合っていれば、同じキャラで再開できる
