インストールしたRHELは自動でkdump有効設定になっていました。
そのまま以下のコマンドを実行したら
echo 1 > /proc/sys/kernel/sysrq
echo c > /proc/sysrq-trigger
デフォルト設定の/var/crashにdumpファイルが吐かれていました。
