could not lock config file C:/home/.gitconfig: No such file or directoryが出てPlease tell me who you areが解決できない事態に陥りました。
結果、HOMEの環境変数が.gitconfigがあるディレクトリになっていなかったので変更すると解決しました。
今までこんなことせずとも良かったのでよくわからないエラーでした。
