variableinspectorがインストールできません

pythonを始めようとjupyter labをインストールしましたが、variableinspectorがどうしてもインストールできません。

ターミナルでは

jupyter labでは

ビルドが500で失敗しました。完全な出力を得るには、サーバーで「jupyterlabbuild」を実行してください。

のアラームが出ます。
原因のわかる方、申し訳ありませんがご教授お願いします。

やってみたこと
jupyter labextension install @lckr/jupyterlab_variableinspectorのインストール
