3度目登場の遠藤です。
今年もオープンソースコミュニティの皆様、そして読者の皆様のおかげで25日走りきることができました。
ありがとうございました。
最終日は、OpenChainの設立時からGMとしてプロジェクトを引っ張ってくれたShaneが12月で卒業になりますので、Shaneからのスペシャルメッセージをお届けします。
Shaneからのスペシャルメッセージ
2025年はOpenChainプロジェクトにとって傑出した年となりました。適合コミュニティへ継続的に企業を迎え入れ、AIおよびSBOM適合に関する新たなガイダンスを公開し、CRA管理への関与と貢献を果たし、コミュニティの力を結集して新たな参考資料を開発し、世界中の企業を支援する対面イベントを主催しました。組織だけでなく、この分野でキャリアを築く一人ひとりの個人に対しても、私たちが影響を与え続けていることを誇りに思います。
この8年半にわたり、OpenChainプロジェクト、この理事会、そして卓越したコミュニティの皆様と共に活動できたことを光栄に思います。これほど長い期間、多くの共同の成功を享受した後、新たな挑戦へ進む決断は容易ではありません。しかし、個人的に取り組みたいプロジェクトがあり、時が経つにつれ、その活動に着手する時期が来たと感じています。
この場を借りて、私のこの旅路を支えてくださった全ての方々に感謝申し上げます。コミュニティと成果の規模があまりにも大きく、お名前を一人ひとり挙げることは叶いませんが、特に以下の方々には深く御礼を申し上げます

世界中で会議に参加し、ニュースを読み（そして共有し）、支えてくれた皆様に感謝します。このコミュニティを築き、この成功をもたらしたのは皆さんです。オープンソースの仲間と呼べることを光栄に思います。これは真のコミュニティであり、私たちは真の友情を育んできました。この絆は重要であり、永続し、偉大なことを可能にします。忘れないでください。好奇心を持ち、親切であり、星を目指しましょう。
そしてEndoさん、この投稿に私を招いてくださりありがとうございます。あなたと共にOpenChain Japan Work Groupを共同設立し、長年にわたるオープンソースコミュニティの歩みを共にできたことは、本当に楽しい経験でした。

Shaneからのメッセージはいかがだったでしょうか？
OpenChainはこの8年あまりの期間で、多くの国・産業で認知されるプロジェクトとなり、オープンソースの標準がISOになるパイロットケースにもなりました。
また、20を超えるマルチナショナル企業がスポンサーになっただけでなく、世界中のロカールコミュニティや産業別コミュニティもとても盛況です。
この成功はShaneのリーダーシップのおかげであることは間違いありません。
私個人にとってもOpenChainでの経験は、自分自身のオープンソース活動の礎になりました。
本当にありがとうございました！
2026年はOpenChainにとってShaneがいないある意味勝負の年となります。
Shaneの作ったこのコミュニティの皆様のメンバーと引き続き、プロジェクトの発展を目指していきますので、コミュニティに興味を持った方は是非ご参加ください。

Thanks to everyone in the open source community and our readers, we made it through to the 25th again this year.
Thank you all.
For our final day, we have a special message from Shane, who has led the OpenChain project as General Manager since its founding and will be graduating from the role this December.
Special Message from Shane
2025 has been an outstanding year for the OpenChain Project. We have welcomed a regular stream of companies to our community of conformance, we have released new guidance for AI and SBOM compliance, we have engaged with and contributed to CRA management, and we have used the power of our community to develop new reference material and host physical events to support companies around the world. I am proud to say that we continue to make an impact not only to organizations, but also to every individual building their career in this field.
I have been honored to work on the OpenChain Project, with this board and with everyone in our exceptional community over the last eight and a half years. After such a long period, and enjoying so much collective success, it is a difficult decision to move on to a new venture. However, there is a personal project that I want to attend to, and the passage of time has suggested to me that it is appropriate to begin work on that activity.
I want to take a moment to thank everyone who has made this journey possible for me. While there are too many people to name individually – such is the scale of our community and accomplishment – I would like to give special thanks to:
David Marr of Qualcomm for leading the foundation of the OpenChain Project
Jimmy Ahlberg of Ericsson for leading us through the evolution into a multi-ISO standard project
Watanabe San, Kobota San, Owada San and Fukuchi San for being instrumental in the development of our work in Japan
Haksung Jang for leading our work in Korea to such success
Zhenhua Sun in China for his leadership and driving frequent local meetings
Oliver Fendt and Marcel Kurzmann in Germany for endlessly encouraging and supporting one of the exceptional local communities in the domain of processes and automation
and finally to the dearly departed Ueda San for providing inspiration in community building that has always helped guide and ensure the success of what we do.
My thanks to you all, who have attended calls, come to meetings and read (and reshared) our news across the world. You made this community, and you made this success. I am grateful to call you my colleagues in open source. This is a true community, and we have built true friendships. These bonds matter, these bonds last, and these bonds enable great things. Remember: be curious, be kind, and aim for the stars.
And Endo San, thank you for inviting me to this post. It has been so much fun to co-found the OpenChain Japan Work Group with you, and to travel together through many, many years of open source community.

Over these past eight-plus years, OpenChain has become a recognized project across many countries and industries, serving as a pilot case for open-source standards becoming ISO.
Not only have over 20 multinational companies become sponsors, but local communities and industry-specific communities worldwide are also thriving.
This success is undoubtedly thanks to Shane's leadership.
For me personally, my experience with OpenChain laid the foundation for my own open source activities.

2026 will be a pivotal year for OpenChain in a sense.
