Unfortunately, issue still persists. But it has been reported to the Trailhead Content team and they’ll be working on it soon. This should be resolved by the upcoming Trailhead Release. This is the feedback I got from the support team.

We can't find a Chatter post that includes an inline image.

For me, I ended (after about 2 hours a failure) using the default trailhead and dreamhouse-logo-square images in my post. Something about one of those images allows the challenge to pass.

I finally passed it. The only thing I did was use an old playground that had images for the "Solarbots" company installed. When I posted with one of those images it worked. This is a frustrating challenge, that should be very simple.

Several other people have been having this issue and it seems to be a bug with Salesforce. It's caused by uploading an image as the app icon. If you skip this step it should work, then you can add the image after the app has been created.
