Google stop supporting unlimited work space

A new storage policy is coming to Google Workspace for Education. This policy goes into effect across all Google Workspace for Education editions for existing customers in July 2022 and will be effective for new customers signing up in 2022. --by Google Workspace Admin Help

Before that coming I always keep Backup & Sync on my working PC, there is about 10TB of file on my google drive until now.(My part time job is video editing.)
So what I'm thinking is set up my own NAS by myself.(Also for fun~~)

Here is my problem

1.Which hard drive you guys recommend?(My friend tell me that's important.)
2.Is there any tip to build up your own NAS?
3.Is there any interesting project?(I saw someone build his own Netflix on it.)
