Help us understand the problem. What is going on with this article?

brew installでError: No available formulaが返るとき

More than 3 years have passed since last update.

MacのHomebrewのお話。

$ brew install <package name>

Error: No available formula for <package name>

というエラーが返ってくるときは、

$ brew search <package name>

とやる。たとえばopencvなら、

homebrew/science/opencv

と返ってくるので、以下のようにhomebrew/scienceのパッケージ情報を更新する。

brew tap homebrew/science

するとこんな情報が表示され・・・

これで晴れて$ brew install opencvできるようになる。
