ヘルツ接触（Hertz Contact）とは？

ヘルツ接触とは、
👉 2つの物体が力を受けて接触するときに生じる、非常に小さな接触領域と大きな応力を扱う理論です。

説明

一見すると「点」や「線」で接触しているように見える物体も、
実際にはわずかに変形して、小さな面積で接触しています。

ヘルツ接触理論は、その

  • 接触面の大きさ
  • 応力（圧力）の分布
    を計算するためのものです。

よくある例

ヘルツ接触は、次のような場面でよく使われます。

  • ⚙️ 軸受（ベアリング）の鋼球
  • ⚙️ 歯車のかみ合い
  • ⚙️ 円柱と平面の接触
  • ⚙️ 車輪とレールの接触
