IBM i Access Client Solutions 1.1.8.4 利用可能
2020年4月にACS 1.1.8.4 が利用可能になりました。日本語処理関係の機能拡張要求RFEもいくつか取り入れられています。
現在のACSの制約が不便であれば、日本の中で不満をためるのではなく積極的に正式なリクエスト方法であるRFEを起票すべきですね。

- Option on Print Screen Setup to set column separators. (RFE 128192)
- Capability to reorder a print screen collection. (RFE 114927)
- Option to "Disable the popup keypad menu". (RFE 140004) Available at 5250 Session Manager-->Tools-->Customize Menu Bar...
- Allow "Yen" and "Backslash" at the same time. (RFE 132374)

- Enhancements to System Configurations:
- Features that leverage SSH connections (eg OSPM, SSH Terminal) can configure a different port at System Configurations->Connection. (RFE 140483)

日本語処理関係の拡張
今回の拡張に含まれる日本語処理関係はこちら
- Utility to generate the font-image file for User Defined Characters with PDT printing on a Windows workstation. (RFE 130267)
こちらは、ついにPDT印刷で外字が打てるようになるというものです。
ただ、残念ながら正常に動作していません。問い合わせ中です。動作するようになったら改めて報告します。
- Allow "Yen" and "Backslash" at the same time. (RFE 132374)
こちらは、円記号とバックスラッシュを5250画面上で共存される拡張です。
Access for Windows の PC5250 や Personal Communications では「ansi 5c」をキーにアサインすることでバックスラッシュを入力することができました。
しかし、ACSの日本語セッションでは円記号とバックスラッシュのどちらを入力しても円記号に片寄するのがこれまでの仕様でした。
1.1.8.4 では日本語セッションでも使い分けができるようになったのですが、いろいろな設定が必要です。
