【AWS】 リージョンとアベイラビリティゾーンとは？

AWSの基礎学習した内容をアウトプットしていきます。

リージョンとは

地理的に離れた領域を示します。
例：東京、大阪、シドニー、ソウル

アベイラビリティゾーン（AZ）とは

それぞれのリージョン内に設置された地理的、電源、ネットワークが自律しているデータセンターの集合の単位です。

特徴

複数リージョン/AZで、システムを分散配置することで、火災や地震などの災害発生時に障害耐性を高めることができます。
