IBM Cloud: LinuxOne Bare Metal Server(GA版-> Allow List版)を東京リージョンで注文してみた

1. はじめに

2023/5/8追記
再度Allow List方式に戻ったようです。

このアナウンスの通り、LinuxOne Bare Metal Serverが遂にGAされました。元々2022年9月より利用可能でしたが、特定のアカウントのみに許可されたallow-list制でした。2023年4月19日のBlogによると、遂にどのアカウントでも利用可能になったようです。GAされたリージョンは以下の通り。

  • Washington D.C.(us-east)
  • London(eu-gb)
  • Toronto(ca-tor)
  • Tokyo(jp-tok)
  • São Paulo(br-sao)

2. 注文画面と注意点

この記事と重複するが、念の為GA版ということでキャプチャー画像を添付。

  • リージョン・ゾーンの選択ではTokyo1を選択。

  • OSの選択ではRHELを選択。SUSEも選択できる。RHEL/SUSE共に現時点ではBYOLが必要。image.png

3. 注文後の構成

UI画面からも、以下の注意点・制約があることがわかる。

  • x86やLinuxONE Virtual Servers for VPCと違って、Block Storageをマウントできない(Local Storageしかない)。
  • x86やLinuxONE Virtual Servers for VPCと違って、
    • mz2d-metal-2x64(bandwidthが2Gbpsモデル)だと1つしかNICを作成できない。
    • mz2d-metal-16x512(bandwidthが10Gbpsモデル)だと2つまでしかNICを作成できない。
