[TypeScript] 配列の要素だけを使った型を作りたい

やりたいこと

こんな配列を使って、

const names = [
  '佐藤',
  '鈴木',
  '田中',
];

こういう型を作成したい。

type Name = '佐藤' | '鈴木' | '田中';

やり方

やり方は至って簡単です。

as constを使う

const names = [
  '佐藤',
  '鈴木',
  '田中',
] as const;

type Name = typeof names[number];
// type Name = "佐藤" | "鈴木" | "田中"
