Firefox Developer EditionでMacTypeを有効にする

Firefox Developer EditionでMacTypeが有効にならない
という事象に悩まされていました。

以下の記載を順番に試していったところ、
自分の環境でうまくMacTypeが有効になる設定が見つかりました。

• MacType doesn't affect Firefox font rendering

設定

有効である設定は以下の２つでした。

1. Use Hardware acceleration when available

Optionの設定で(about:preferences#advanced)、
Advanced -> Use Hardware acceleration when available
のチェックを外す。

2. gfx.content.azure.backends

about:configにて、
gfx.content.azure.backendsの値を
direct2d1.1,skia,cairo
から
direct2d1.1,cairo
に変更する（skiaを削除する）。

考察

上記２つの設定を両方するとMacTypeが有効になりました。
どちらか一方でもデフォルト値に戻すとMacTypeは無効になりました。

「gfx.direct2d.disabledをtrueにする」という記述を
よく見かけましたが、この設定は影響しないようでした。
