結論

layouut属性をresponsiveにしたら治りました。

当初からwidthは指定されていたので試しにlayouut属性を変えてみたら解消されました。

fixed-heightの時はwidthをautoに指定しないとエラーになります。
よく考えれば当たり前ですが（汗

非常にわかりやすくアニメーションまで作成してくれていました。
ampのマニュアルサイトの進化はすごいと思います。
