Docker Toolbox をバージョンアップしたら Cannot connect to the Docker daemon. Is the docker daemon running on this host? と出るようになった

ずいぶんバージョンアップしてなくて、今更ながら Mac の Docker Toolbox をバージョンアップしたら、唐突に下記のエラーが出るようになった。
バージョンアップ後もしばらく使えてたのでビックリした。

Cannot connect to the Docker daemon. Is the docker daemon running on this host?

対応

.bash_profile に下記のものを追加

eval $(docker-machine env default)
