Rubyだと?a と 'a'は同じになるってことだけです。（はてなの後ろは一文字の文字だけがかけます）これを使うと少しタイプ数が少なくなります。
a-Zまでの文字列を作る例:
[*?a..?z, *?A..?Z].join
=> "abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyzABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ"
