SPDX Podcast
SPDX, as the premier SBOM protocol, has decided to move forward with a podcast to popularize the protocol, and inform the public about SBOM’s and SPDX! The SPDX-Official podcast is that channel! We’re streaming on Youtube, and archived on Youtube, SPDX LinkedIn, and other social media forums!
The SPDX-Official Podcast will showcase organizations:
- Constructing SPDX SBOM’s, typically software development companies
- Consuming SPDX SBOM’s to help with security, compliance, licensing, typically customers of those software developers
- Writing the SPDX standard!
- Developing new plugins and extensions for the SPDX standard
- User groups from around the world
- Prospective users
- Partner organizations
- Other open source projects related to supply chain security
- And closed source product companies in the supply chain security realm
- And many more!
In the next few episodes, we will be holding roundtable discussions with the SPDX Asia group, primarily based in Japan. Interviews will be conducted with at least two groups of users from Japan, representing some of the largest and most prestigious companies in the country.
We are extremely excited to discuss how they intend to use SPDX in their organizations, what efficiencies they expect to realize, and how they think the rollouts will occur, over what scale of time, and at what expense.
There are plenty of topics to discuss, but we always welcome listeners to add questions and comments. Please let us know if you have any items we should discuss, and we’d be happy to include them.
