前提

Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 には日本語ロケールがなかったので、日本語ロケールを入れる

ついでに設定も変える

[root@ip-10-0-0-9 ~]# localectl set-locale LANG=ja_JP.utf8
[root@ip-10-0-0-9 ~]# localectl set-keymap jp106
[root@ip-10-0-0-9 ~]# localectl status
   System Locale: LANG=ja_JP.utf8
       VC Keymap: jp106
      X11 Layout: jp
       X11 Model: jp106
     X11 Options: terminate:ctrl_alt_bksp

結論

無事に変更できた
なかなか情報がなく大変だった
