リソースファイルの使用について調べてたら意外と見つからなかったので残します。

外部ファイルからアイコンの使用

NotifyIcon mNotifyIcon = new NotifyIcon(); 
mNotifyIcon.Icon = new Icon("Icon1.ico");

リソースファイルからアイコンの使用

NotifyIcon mNotifyIcon = new NotifyIcon(); 
mNotifyIcon.Icon = Properties.Resources.Icon1;
