Information Unit

Overview

  • 0と1だけの世界
  • 最小単位がbit、8ビットをbyte
  • 桁が大きくなるほど、情報量は増える(1bit増えるたびに情報量2倍)

Example

  • 2bit = 01
  • 1byte = 01011010 = 1bit
  • 1bitの情報量　0か1の2種類
  • byteの情報量　256種類

Trivia

  • 01011があったとき、左端の数字をMSB、右端の数字をLSBという

Simplification

Overview

  • 数字が大きくなると表現が大変→k、M、G、T、P
  • 逆に小さい数字の表現もある→m、μ、n、p
  • こいつらを補助単位という
