If your bridge deposit is complete but the token is missing, first check its balance on Polygon PoS. If the balance is there, your wallet may simply be hiding the token. If it is not, check the destination address and transaction status before importing anything.
How Can I Tell If The Tokens Arrived?
Look up the destination transaction on a Polygon PoS block explorer, a site that displays public blockchain records. Check that it succeeded and that the token transfer went to your wallet address. A transaction hash, or transaction ID, lets you find that record.
The Polygon PoS Bridge locks tokens on Ethereum and releases or creates their corresponding representation on Polygon PoS. That representation is a child token: the Polygon-side token linked to the original Ethereum asset. Your wallet can hide it even when the transfer succeeded.
For example, suppose the record shows 12.5 units transferred to your address, but your wallet balance is blank. If the network and address match, the tokens may be present but not displayed. If the record shows another address, the deposit went somewhere else.
How Do I Make A Hidden Token Show?
Check that your wallet is viewing Polygon PoS, then find the token’s Polygon-side contract address in the successful transfer record. A contract address identifies a token on one network. It can differ from the Ethereum address, so don’t assume the Ethereum address is the one to import.
Before importing, verify that the token name and contract match the asset you bridged. Use the explorer’s token record or the token issuer’s trusted information. Once you add the correct Polygon-side token to your wallet’s asset list, its balance should appear.
Some assets have several tokens with similar names, including different bridged versions. The contract address, not the displayed name or symbol, identifies which token you hold. If the destination transaction succeeded but shows no transfer to your address, importing a token will not fix the problem.
What Should I Check Next?
If the destination transaction is still pending, give it time to complete before treating the asset as missing. For a completed transfer, compare the transaction’s recipient and token contract with your wallet’s address and selected network. The official Polygon Bridge is the route for moving supported assets between Ethereum and Polygon PoS; if you are checking whether a deposit is still in transit, see Polygon bridge time.
- Confirm the destination transaction succeeded.
- Match its recipient to your wallet address.
- Check the token balance on Polygon PoS.
- Import only the verified Polygon-side contract if the wallet hides it.
