install-tl-windows.exeを用いてTeX Live 2026をインストールする- アップグレードの説明には There is no comparable upgrade procedure for Windows. Doing a new installation is necessary. とある

install-tl-windows.exeはインストール手順などからダウンロードできる - 原因は不明だが，今年はパッケージのインストールエラーが多発した (補遺参照)
- (任意) tlgpgをインストールする
- コマンドプロンプトで
tlmgr --repository http://www.texlive.info/tlgpg/ install tlgpgを実行する
- コマンドプロンプトで
- 既定のアプリを変更する
- .texの既定値を2026のTeXworksに変更する
- 2025のTeXworksの設定を引き継ぐ

%USERPROFILE%\.texlive2025\texmf-config\texworks\configuration\tools.iniをファイルごと上書きする

- TeXworksで適当なTeXファイルをタイプセットできることを確認する

C:\texlive\2025が無くなればアンインストール完了

You can fix this by running this command:
tlmgr update --all --reinstall-forcibly-removed
to complete the installation.
However, if the problem was a failure to download (by far the
most common cause), check that you can connect to the chosen mirror
in a browser; you may need to specify a mirror explicitly.
