SSD換装
Transcend TS512GMTS430S に換装した。
元の EAGET 2203XKR から dd
で丸ごとコピーし、GParted でパーティションテーブルとパーティションサイズを修正、リカバリパーティションをディスクの末尾に移動して空いたところに Linux ファイルシステムを準備する。
Debianインストーラ
testing インストーラを使って直接 trixie をインストールした。firmware-intel-sound や firmware-sof-signed は自動で入る。
bookworm のときの記録
bullseye でインストールしてから bookworm にアップグレード、apt-line に non-free-firmware
セクションを追加して firmware-intel-sound と firmware-sof-signed を改めてインストール、kernel は experimental の linux-image-6.3.0-0-amd64 を入れた。これで bullseye 当時にやっていたカーネルのリビルドは不要になった。
bullseye を入れたときの記録
bullseye の non-free ファームウェア入りインストーラ から firmware-11.3.0-amd64-netinst.jigdo
を入手して jigdo-lite
でイメージを作成、USB メモリに dd
で書きこんで準備する。
上記 USB メモリと適当な USB 有線 LAN アダプタを指して起動し、Graphicalでない install を選択、表示が回転してるけどここではとにかくインストールを済ませる。
ファームウェアはありったけ入れておく。

kernel は気分の問題だけど backports の 5.18 にした(近所なのでミラーはさくら)。どうせ後でリビルドした 5.19 を入れるのでなんでもいい。

無線LAN
trixie の Linux 6.10 では rtl8723du と firmware-realtek で一発で動く。

Linux kernel のリビルド
Debian trixie の Linux 6.10 ではリビルドは不要。
Debian bookworm に experimental から Linux 6.3.0 を入れれば以下のリビルドは不要。たぶんもっと前のバージョンでもできた。
リビルド手順
リビルドでオーディオの Everest ES8336 とタッチスクリーン Silead MSSL1680 のドライバが含まれるようにする。
実機でやると何日かかるかわからないので、速いマシンでビルドする。ここでは WSL2 で Debian 環境を構築する。

実際のところ Linux 6.x の時点でデバイスは認識されているはず。quirk=
設定もデフォルトの 5
でよかった。
上記 topology と firmware-sof-signed
パッケージが入っていれば、以下のコマンドだけで音が出せるようになるはず。

タッチパネル
Silead MSSL1680.
ドライバを準備する
Debian experimental の Linux 6.3 ではリビルドは不要。
それ以前での手順
上記カーネルリビルドの項で貼った `config-nnnext.merge` のCONFIG_TOUCHSCREEN_SILEAD=m
が対応する。
ファームウェアをアレする
Windows パーティションをマウントして、

というディレクトリがヒットするはずなので、そこから SileadTouch.sys
をコピってくる。

キャリブレーション
X での手順

$ suod apt remove xserver-xorg-input-libinput
(ここで X を再起動する。systemctl stop lightdm とか)
$ xinput_calibrator
実行ファイルは _
なのに注意。これの結果出てくる設定を /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/
に突っ込んで X を再起動する。
うちで適当に生成してうまくいったのはこれ。evdev でやらないと Option "Calibration"
行にならないみたい。

Wayland での手順
Debian trixie の KDE Plasma 環境で確認。
Plasma で画面回転の設定を済ませておく。

2024.9.24: 上記オプションは Linux カーネルにマージされた ので、今後の Linux では不要になる模様。
