どういうことか

$ vi ファイル名 を叩いてVimでファイルを編集しようとしたら発生した。

注釈にも書いてあるが

(1) Another program may be editing the same file.  If this is the case,
    be careful not to end up with two different instances of the same
    file when making changes.  Quit, or continue with caution.

訳
（1）別のプログラムが同じファイルを編集している可能性があります。 このような場合は、
     同じの2つの異なるインスタンスになってしまわないように注意してください
     変更を加えるときにファイルします。 終了するか、注意して続行してください。

例えばターミナルの別タブで同ファイルを編集中とか。
閉じたら直った。
