どうもAndroid版はまだ不安定なようです。
既に登録されているIssue内に回避策が書かれています。
/Dropbox/Apps/boostnote-mobileをStorageのロケーションに指定するとクラッシュしません。
自分の場合は、BoostnoteでDropbox連携をした際に、/Dropbox/アプリ/boostnote-mobileという名称のフォルダが作成され、この名称のままStorageのロケーションに指定してしまっためクラッシュしていたようです。

You should add "/Dropbox/Apps/boostnote-mobile" as a storage location on your desktop version of Boostnote, before connecting boostnote-mobile with Dropbox. When press the add note button, boostnote-mobile trying to download boostnote.json file from path "/Dropbox/Apps/boostnote-mobile/boostnote.json" and iterate over that javascript object.
boostnote-mobile crash when there's no boostnote.json file on that path, because there's no JSON object to iterate over.
