Mac上のVisual studio codeでスペースを2回押すとピリオドが入力されて困る

問題

いつの間にか，Mac上Visual studio codeでスペースを2回連続で押すとピリオドが入力されるようになりました.勝手にピリオドが入力されるため，論文執筆やプログラミングで極めて困っていました．

原因

Visual studio codeの設定か新機能かと思ったのですが，Macの新機能として追加されたもののようです．

解決法

Macの「設定->キーボード->入力ソース->スペースバーを2回押してピリオド」の設定をオフにすることで，スペースを2回押してもピリオドが入力されなくなります．
