PDOException' with message 'SQLSTATE[HY000] [2002] No such file or directory
PDOでこういうエラーが出ることがよくあります。
No such file or directoryというエラーメッセージが非常に紛らわしいのですが、実はファイルとかディレクトリとかは関係なく単にDB接続失敗してるだけだったりします。
私の場合、mysqldが落ちてたのが原因なのでmysqldを起動したら解決しました。
