下記を設定すると、delete-file や delete-directoryで削除したファイルやフォルダは削除されずに~/.Trashに移動します。これはDiredでの削除にも設定が反映されます。
(custom-set-variables
'(delete-by-moving-to-trash t)
'(trash-directory "~/.Trash"))
これでうっかり削除しても安心です。
