一定時間レスポンスが無ければ読み込み中止、または広告読み込みは最後に持ってくるとか？

外部の広告を読み込んでて、その広告配信サーバーの遅延によりサイト全体の表示が遅くなる場合があるのですが、一般的にはどう対処しているのでしょうか？
