GlobeSpan iTVC15

ハードオフで見た事のないUSB MPEGモジュールを330円で入手しました。

このモジュールはチップにファンが貼ってあってよくわからなかったのですが、いろいろ調べてみるとGlobeSpan iTVC15が使われているようです。USBにはEZ-USB FX(CY7C64613)が使われています。

iTVC12というチップもあって、これを使った製品もあった模様です。

これらのチップはConexantのMPEGエンコーダーの祖先のようです。

GlobeSpanはiCompressionを2000年に買収してこのソリューションを手に入れたようです。

このモジュールにはビデオ出力もあるので、チップにはエンコーダーとデコーダが入っていて、CX23415相当なのかもしれません。

CX23416なモジュールはEZ-USB FX2でUSB2ですが、こちらはUSB1のようです。
