GIMPで作成した画像をUnityにインポートすると透明部分が黒塗りになってしまう時の対処法

動作環境

Unity 2018.2.9f1 Personal
GIMP 2.10.6

事象

GIMPで下図のように透明レイヤに描いていても…

Unityにインポートすると透明部分が黒く塗りつぶされてしまう。

対処法

一度黒塗りのままインポートして、インポートした画像のInspectorViewから「Texture Type」を「Sprite(2D and UI)」に設定。
