IE と <option>

createElement('option') して使おうとしても、...

option.text に値を設定しても、表示されない (空文字列が表示される)
option.innerText に値を設定すれば表示される
option を select から削除すると option.text がリセットされるらしく(?)、再度 append しても表示されない
その場合も option.innerText に改めて値を設定すれば表示される

IE10 は正常。
