ubuntuとchromeの相性なのか、xfceとchromeの相性なのか、さらに別の原因なのかわかりませんが、よく落ちます。
システム全部を巻き添えに死ぬので困ってました。
シェルから
~$ google-chrome-stable --disable-gpu
で動かすと安定した（かな？）
まだ様子見。
