前提知識

コンテナとコーデック

WebM をWindows で再生するにはインストールが必要

解釈

× H.264 はアルファを持つことができない
○ MP4 はアルファを持つことができない

× VP8 はアルファを持つことができる。
○ WebM はアルファを持つことができる。

で合っていると思いたい。
H.264 も VP8 もデコードすると YUV カラーフォーマットのはず・・

つまるところ

WebM をメディアプレイヤーで再生できれば、
DirectShow なんかで再生できると思いたい。未検証
