docker execで実行中のプロセスがあるときにネットワーク接続が切断された場合、プロセスは残っていますが出力を得ることができなくなります。
その場合、プロセスのPIDを調べて
reptyr -T $PID
すると、見失ってしまった出力に再び出会うことができます。
ubuntu trusty以降などの環境では、以下の設定が必要になるかもしれません。
echo 0 > /proc/sys/kernel/yama/ptrace_scope
